School Life

Campus life at GPS is a challenge to define. A visitor to the campus could stand on the school patio, look left, and see girls with open laptops completing homework or studying for an upcoming test. A look right might bring into view a group of sixth graders playing on the front lawn. A lively campus is in evidence everywhere.

Campus life doesn't begin with the first class of the day or end with the last. Large and small communities of girls can be found throughout the day or after hours collecting recyclables for the school wide effort, decorating pep banners for an evening's athletic event, or practicing kayaking skills in the pool for an upcoming trip.

Campus life sometimes moves off campus. Coordinate dances with the boys at McCallie School, community service to help a refugee family from Burundi move into temporary housing, or a fall break trip with the Outdoor Program are all parts of the GPS experience.
