Strength Training
It is the mission of the GPS Strength and Conditioning program to improve the student-athlete's performance and prevent injury by
building strength and improving cardiovascular fitness in a functional and safe environment. Our goal is to apply the philosophy of pursuing excellence to the GPS student-athletes. Gina Wells, GPS Strength and Conditioning Coach, is continually researching to
bring the latest information in athletic training to the weight room to achieve our mission.
GPS athletes work year-round at maintaining fitness levels. Workouts, held also through the summer months, focus on cardiovascular training,
muscular strength, balance, flexibility, and core body training.
