Camp T-shirts and Store: During each session campers will receive a free T-shirt from the Camp Store. Campers may purchases Summer at GPS items daily in the Camp Store. All items cost less than $20.
Camper/Student Conduct: Summer program attendees are expected to comply with generally accepted standards of behavior. Students or campers who interfere with the learning, enrichment, or pleasure of other students or campers may be dismissed from the program without refund and will forfeit the option of re-enrollment. A student or camper possessing or using any illegal drugs, alcohol or tobacco products will be dismissed from GPS Summer Programs without refund.
Cancellation: GPS reserves the right to cancel any program if enrollment is insufficient. In the event of such a cancellation, a full refund will be made.
Course Credit: All students not currently enrolled at GPS must make arrangements with their current schools if they wish to receive credit. A student from another scholl must provide GPS with the name and address of his/her school's registrar so that GPS can mail the summer report.
Drop-off/pick-up & Aftercare: Campers should arrive no earlier than 7:40 AM. Campers may stay as late as 5:30 PM in aftercare, where they will receive a nutritious afternoon snack. Campers who are not picked up by 4:00 PM will be charged $10 per day.
Emergencies: In case of emergency, the Summer Programs office will attempt to contact parents first, then the local emergency contact person on the registration form. If the Camp Director or Summer Programs Coordinator believes that emergency medical attention is warranted, he/she will phone 911 first and a parent immediately after.
Lunch: A hot, nutritious lunch is served daily in the GPS Dining Hall. The cost is included in camp tuition.
Medication: All medication, prescription and non-prescription, must be registered with and dispensed by the Camp Office. Campers will not be allowed to carry drugs and administer them to themselves.
Paying for Camp: A $100 deposit for each program or session is due with the application. (The maximum deposit from any one camper is $200.) The full balance is due before the child may attend the program.
Prorated Fees: To maintain the integrity of each session, campers may not register for part of a week. There are no prorated fees.
Travel & Transportation: Only GPS vehicles may be used to transport campers and students while they are participating in camp activities.
Withdrawal: GPS Summer Programs must receive written notification of a camper's or student's withdrawal for the withdrawal to be official. If written notification is received before the day the program begins, GPS Summer Programs will refund all money received less the $100 deposit. If written notification is received on or after the day the program begins, there will be no refund.
