Amiya Phade Named National Merit Commended Scholar

Girls Preparatory School is proud to celebrate senior Amiya Phade for being named a National Merit Commended Scholar in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Each year, approximately 1.2 million students enter the National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the PSAT/NMSQT. About 50,000 high-scoring students receive recognition, including approximately 34,000 students named Commended Students for their outstanding academic promise.

At GPS, Amiya is an active member of the school community. She performs with Terpsichord, participates in Model UN, serves as an Admission Ambassador and is a Laureate Scholar. Through these roles, she brings her curiosity, leadership and enthusiasm for learning to life both inside and outside the classroom.

We congratulate Amiya on this well-deserved recognition and look forward to celebrating all that she will accomplish in the years ahead.
