Welcome from the Head of School
Welcome

Welcome
to GPS
Dear families,
At Girls Preparatory School, we celebrate each girl for the unique gifts she brings to our school, with programs and events to prioritize healthy connections and relationships.
We foster a culture where she is known, she is heard, and she is empowered to use her voice.
Through a learner-centered approach, we personalize each student’s experience to how she learns best. In partnership with families, our faculty and staff share their diverse perspectives, ideas, and talents to enrich our community. Every adult on campus supports our girls and thoughtfully executes programming to prepare them for their bright futures.
Opportunities for girls to grow and develop the life skills necessary for success extend well beyond our beautiful campus through after-school activities, retreats, service projects, our coordinate program with our brother school, McCallie, and more so students can be prepared for college and life.

As you visit the pages of our website, you’ll learn more about how every aspect of the GPS experience is designed for girls—from our academic, arts, athletic, and leadership programs to our emphasis on health and wellness and student support. If you are new to learning about the lasting impact of an all-girls education, I invite you to read more here or delve into the research provided by the International Coalition of Girls Schools, of which GPS is a member school.
As a girls’ school alumna and a mother of three daughters, two of whom are GPS graduates, I invite you to explore the difference an all-girls school education can mean for your girl. There’s really no place quite like Girls Preparatory School, and I look forward to meeting you when you come for a campus tour or an event. See for yourself why GPS is a school designed for her.
With great pride in our school,

Head of School
