Alumnae
Awards
The GPS sisterhood extends far beyond graduation. Every day, our alumnae are leading with confidence, serving their communities, and making a meaningful impact in their professions and around the world.
The GPS Alumnae Awards honor women whose lives and accomplishments reflect the values of our school and the enduring power of a GPS education. Presented annually, these awards celebrate alumnae who exemplify excellence in their careers, service, leadership, and commitment to others. As graduates return to campus to reconnect with classmates and the school they call home, we are proud to recognize those whose achievements inspire current students and fellow alumnae alike.
Notable Alumna Award
This is given to a GPS graduate during her reunion year, one from each of the reunion classes. A Notable Alumna is often nominated by her classmates and considered one of the most outstanding in her class, with a long, distinguished career, or significant achievements in her career, philanthropy, or volunteerism.
Distinguished Alumna Award
This is the highest honor bestowed upon our Notable Alumnae. Selected among each year’s honorees, the recipient is considered the most deserving based on service in her profession and her community, and commitment to GPS.
Margaret Rawlings Lupton Award of Excellence
Established in 1989, this award recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of GPS alumnae who have exhibited exceptional citizenship and service to their communities and beyond, whether professionally or through volunteer leadership.
Athletic Hall of Fame
The Girls Preparatory School Athletic Hall of Fame, established in 2003, honors the exceptional athletes, coaches, and contributors who have shaped the school’s sports legacy. Beyond celebrating outstanding athletic achievements, the Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who embody true strength of character and serve as pillars of their community. This prestigious tribute highlights the enduring impact of excellence both on and off the field.
