GPS was founded in 1906 by three trailblazing women who challenged the norms of the time. They set the example as social entrepreneurs by establishing the city's first all-girls school.
In 2014, GPS began Mad, Bad & Dangerous (MBD), a conference to empower women and girl entrepreneurs in the greater Chattanooga area. The conference was designed to validate the female voice in technology, startups, and businesses and equip women of all ages with the information and resources they need to become successful business and social entrepreneurs.
In 2017, GPS once again hosted MBD but shifted the focus on girls and sparking the entrepreneurial spirit of girls throughout our region.
