Marclyn D. Porter
Marcy Porter is the parent of two GPS graduates, class of ’08 and ’12. Currently she is the program accreditation & assessment manager for the College of Health, Education, and Professional Studies at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Prior to her college-wide position, she served as the evaluation coordinator for UTC’s School of Nursing. Her additional roles at UTC have included serving as the senior research associate at UTC’s Center for Applied Social Research and as an adjunct professor of sociology, where she taught research methodology. Porter is the founder/senior evaluation specialist at Porter & Associates Evaluation Services and has served as evaluation consultant on numerous projects for community organizations and educational institutions as well as municipal, state, and federal agencies. Porter’s current community involvement includes chair, Board of Trustees, Little Miss Mag Early Learning Center; board of governors, WTCI Public Television; board of directors, Women’s Fund of Greater Chattanooga; chair, Celebration of Trees Beautification Committee; secretary, Riverview Neighborhood Association; and Chattanooga Junior League. She was the former president of Riverview Garden Club.
