Junior Alyse Coakley Wins ACE Scholarship

ACE Mentor Program provides after-school opportunities for students
Alyse Coakley '22 recently participated in the ACE Mentor Program, an after-school program that introduces students to careers in architecture, construction management, engineering, and other disciplines. She won both the group project award as well as an individual scholarship.

Alyse worked with Chattanooga-area students and with local business professionals in architecture, engineering, and construction to design a mobile COVID-19 testing center that could be used by Chattanooga State Community College to test students but could also be transported anywhere—even to international locations.

"Our group won the program for our testing center, and I won the individual ACE Mentor Program scholarship," Alyse says.

For the scholarship, Alyse receives $4,000 for college to pursue a career in architecture, engineering, or construction industry. Congratulations, Alyse!
