  • Adrienne White Rhodes, Class of 1950—70th Reunion

    Adrienne Rhodes began her career at Lake Winnepesaukah as an errand girl, sharpener of pencils, messenger, and deliverer of change. She then worked as the driver, telephone operator, and secretary and finally became in charge of advertising, promotions, and office finances. She is now President of the Board of Lake Winnepesaukah, Inc., Lake Winnepesaukah Amusements Inc., Lake Winnepesaukah Food Services, Inc., and Lake Winnepesaukah Water, LLC.

  • Bea Rutledge Lyons, Class of 1960—60th Reunion

    Bea Rutledge Lyons comes from a family of GPS alumnae and has supported the school for more than 35 years. Lyons, who experienced hearing loss from a personal and professional perspective, was a longtime faculty member at Chattanooga State Community College as Associate Professor of American Sign Language. Over the years she served as a mentor to hearing impaired young adults, as a role model for others living with hearing loss, and as a staunch advocate for issues and concerns impacting people with hearing loss. 

    Lyons has been a volunteer in the greater Chattanooga community since her teenage years and still participates in varied community service endeavors. She has received numerous local, regional, and national honors for her dedication and community service to others.
  • Anna Clarke Sanders, Class of 1970—50th Reunion

    Anne Clarke Sanders spent the first 30-plus years of her professional career as a trial attorney, beginning her legal career in the mid-’70s at a time when female lawyers were rare. Sanders embarked on an interesting and varied legal career as a trial attorney in both private and government practice, during which she achieved many firsts.
      
    After leaving the legal world, Sanders started writing, adopting the pen name Adair Sanders. She’s written multiple books, including her first, Biologically Bankrupt, a 2012 finalist in the CIPA EVVY Awards; a five-book Allison Parker mystery series; and a collection of essays. She’s currently writing a screenplay adaptation of one of her mysteries.
  • Kerri Martin Bartlett, Class of 1975—45th Reunion

    After graduating from GPS in 1975, Kerri Martin Bartlett attended both college and law school at the University of Virginia. Following law school graduation, she clerked for Judge James Hunter on the Federal Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and for Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist at the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. Bartlett then worked for more than a decade at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, where she prosecuted the FBI’s Top Ten Most Wanted Fugitives and received the FBI Director’s Award for outstanding performance as an Assistant United States Attorney. She has taught trial practice and criminal procedure as an adjunct professor at Columbia Law School, Fordham Law School, and Pace Law School. She has served on the GPS Board of Trustees, currently as Secretary, for eight years. Bartlett and her husband, Richard, live in New York City and have three adult children.

  • Julie Johnson Garner, Class of 1980—40th Reunion

    Julie Johnson Garner, head women’s golf coach at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, has been a leader, coach, and mentor in women’s golf. In 2018, Garner was inducted into the Women’s Golf Coaches Association Hall of Fame, and she is the WGCA Coaches Hall of Fame’s 51st member. She was also inducted into the Greater Chattanooga Sports Hall of Fame for 2020.

    In her 25 seasons as head coach, Garner racked up a record six NCAA Division II championships along with five runners-up finishes. Under her leadership, the Tars have finished in the top four at the Division II Championships in 13 of the past 18 seasons. The beloved coach is a four-time Division II Golf Pride WGCA Coach of the Year and five-time Sunshine State Conference Coach of the Year.
  • Marie Griffith, Class of 1985—35th Reunion

    R. Marie Griffith, Ph.D., is the John C. Danforth Distinguished Professor in the Humanities at Washington University. Her book Moral Combat: How Sex Divided American Christians and Fractured American Politics was published in December 2017. She is also the director of the John C. Danforth Center on Religion and Politics and the editor of the center’s journal, Religion & Politics. 

    Her main research interests focus on the ways religion has affected American politics, especially with issues related to women, gender, and women’s roles in American Christianity. Her most recent book covers battles within churches and politics over women’s roles and sexuality. In addition to Moral Combat, Griffith has published additional books, scholarly articles, and essays. She’s a frequent media commentator on current issues pertaining to religion and politics. Griffith obtained her undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia and her Ph.D. in the study of religion from Harvard University.
  • Jennifer Jones, Class of 1990—30th Reunion

    Jennifer Jones (McIntire) received her M.D. and Ph.D. from Stanford University. She is a board-certified radiation oncologist with specialized training in radiosurgery and with graduate and postdoctoral training in both cancer biology and general immunology. 

    Dr. Jones positionally cloned the T-cell immunoglobulin mucin (TIM) gene family and demonstrated the genetic association between TIMs and immune response profiles. As a radiation oncologist, her current research is focused on developing immune-based therapies that synergize with radiation to produce optimal anti-tumor immune responses. 

    Dr. Jones is an NIH Stadtman Investigator, NIH Distinguished Scholar, and serves as an investigator in the Laboratory of Pathology at the National Cancer Institute’s Center for Cancer Research. She’s also the Translational Nanobiology Section Head. She’s received many notable awards, including the Prostate Cancer Foundation Young Investigator Award and the Pamela Anne Cafritz Renal Cell Carcinoma Award.

  • Kinna Patel Crocker, Class of 1995—25th Reunion

    Kinna Crocker is a nationally recognized attorney with 17 years of experience in the courtroom and a proven track record as an effective advocate, mediator, and litigator. At her eponymous law firm, Crocker Law, Kinna provides cutting-edge legal services to individuals and couples in family law matters.
     
    Throughout her work and board positions, Crocker is committed to equal rights and marriage equality, and she has made significant contributions to the LGBTQ community. She’s a graduate of the University of San Francisco School of Law, where she was recognized as a Public Interest Law Scholar. Kinna received her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and English from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
  • Alyssa Misner, Class of 2000—20th Reunion

    Alyssa Misner is an Associate Managing Director at a global investigations firm based in Washington, D.C., and New York. A Latin America specialist, Alyssa has spent 14 years managing and conducting complex fraud and due diligence investigations throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia. She has led long-term, transnational investigations into corporate malfeasance, including insider trading, embezzlement, bribery, and corruption.

    She is a certified anti-money laundering specialist and has been certified as a Spanish-English translator for nearly 15 years. She received a joint M.A. in Latin American studies and journalism from New York University and a B.A. in international studies and Spanish language from American University, completing studies at Universidad Diego Portales in Santiago, Chile.
  • Sarah Grebowski, Class of 2005—15th Reunion

    Sarah Grebowski is a Foreign Service Officer at the U.S. Department of State currently serving as a political officer at the U.S. Embassy in Rangoon, Burma. Her previous assignment was in the consular section at the U.S. Embassy in Manama, Bahrain. Sarah holds a master’s in foreign service from Georgetown University where she focused on international law and a bachelor’s degree from Boston College. Prior to joining the Foreign Service, she managed election observation programs in Egypt, Timor Leste, and the Republic of Georgia. Grebowski also analyzed Middle Eastern politics as a research assistant for the Carnegie Middle East Center in Beirut, Lebanon, and the Atlantic Council in Washington, D.C. She worked as a freelance journalist in Egypt during the Arab Spring uprising.
  • Hallie Heald, Class of 2010—10th Reunion

    Hallie Heald is freelance illustrator and author in New York City. After graduating with a degree in studio art from Westmont College, Heald created visual displays and worked as an assistant stylist for photoshoots. She transitioned to fulltime portrait painting and illustration in 2017, illustrating her first book, The Women Who Made New York, with author Julie Scelfo. She was commissioned for two portraits of Tony Bennett for his production company and painted a series of shoes for Zappos classic sneaker collection. She most recently wrote and illustrated a book about introverts, 41 Reasons I’m Staying In, published by William Morrow.
  • Nia Sanders, Class of 2015—5th Reunion

    A graduate of Brown University, Nia Sanders lives in New York City where she works full time as a Software Engineer at Google and performs with Here’s T(w)o Dance Collective. She graduated with a B.A. in computer science and performance studies and continues to pursue both STEM and dance in her post-graduate life. After interning with Google, she now works as a frontend engineer on Cloud SQL and continues to develop her engineering skills on high-impact projects. As an emerging choreographer in NYC, she recently co-created the performance duo, Here’s T(w)o Collective, and has presented and performed original work at events such as The Craft NY showcase, WAXWorks at Triskelion Arts Center, and an upcoming performance at WestFest Dance Festival.
