Isabel Bryan McCall ’69

Art; 30 years
Teaching art, ceramics, and sculpture, Isabel Bryan McCall ’69 was a beloved member of the fine arts faculty for 30 years. Always inspiring students to dig deeper, she worked on several interdisciplinary initiatives such as the Japanese Tea Ceremony and the environmental science and ceramics classes. In addition to the Art and Art Honor Societies, McCall sponsored the Investment Club, a position typically held by advanced math teachers. An accomplished artist outside the classroom, she has exhibited her work in several cities—including Chattanooga and Chicago—and has received honors from Public Art Chattanooga and the Lyndhurst Foundation.
