Peggy Evans Thomas
Founder and Director of Terpsichord
Peggy Evans Thomas’ love of dance has left an indelible mark on GPS, not only as the namesake of the GPS dance studios but also as founder and director of Terpsichord, Tennessee’s first high school contemporary dance company. She was also a charter member of the GPS Athletic Hall of Fame. Beginning in 1953, she established a rigorous physical education curriculum and implemented varsity athletic programs for six sports, serving as the coach for most.
