Karen Welborn

Karen Welborn holds an undergraduate degree in accounting and law degree from the University of Alabama. She is a CPA and licensed to practice law in Tennessee and Alabama. After practicing business and estate planning law for 15 years, she now dedicates her time to managing family investments as well as maintaining an active role in community engagement. With a consistent passion for lifelong learning, Karen served as president of the Lookout Mountain School PTA and is a current elected Lookout Mountain School Board member. She previously served on the GPS Board of Trustees (2008-14), chairing the Transitional Strategic Plan and serving on the Executive Committee. Karen is an active member of Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church, where she serves on the board of Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church, Inc. She and her husband, Miller, are the parents of three GPS alumnae: Margaret ’10, Anne Miller ’15, and Libby ’18.
