Born and raised in Chattanooga, Ashley Rowland Davenport '97 graduated from GPS and went on to receive her B.S. in business from Auburn University. She was the director of marketing for a national franchise group in Houston, Texas, before returning to Chattanooga and owned a small business for many years. Davenport recently completed the Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga’s WE program for women. Ashley has served on the GPS Alumnae Board, the Board of Directors of the Creative Discovery Museum, Erlanger and Children’s Hospital Foundation Board and executive committee, and the Chambliss Center for Children. She and her husband, Ward, co-chaired the signature gifts committee for the Erlanger “Believe” campaign for the Kennedy Outpatient Center and the 2019 Community Kitchen Fast Day Campaign. Davenport is involved in the Parents Association at Bright School as well as the GPS Parent Council, most recently helping with the 2020 Bruiser Bee. Ashley and Ward live in North Chattanooga with their three children, Emma ’25, Quinn, and Helen.
