Junior Brooke McCurdy Reaches 1,000 Points in Basketball

Junior Brooke McCurdy honored for 1,000 points in her GPS basketball career.
Congratulations to junior Brooke McCurdy, who was recognized during Tuesday's game, for scoring her 1,000th point as a member of the GPS Varsity Basketball team.
 
A varsity team member since the eighth grade, McCurdy has consistently been among the leaders in scoring for the Bruisers. She currently is tops in scoring on the team, with 354 points scored to date, this season.
 
McCurdy has averaged over 14 points a game, and has made more than 175 three-point baskets in her career.
 
On February 2, during the GPS game on the road at Kings Academy, Brooke hit her 6th three-pointer of the game to put her over the 1,000 point mark for her career.
 
Coach Wes Moore presented her with an inscribed basketball commemorating her accomplishment. The fans in attendance rose for a standing ovation and McCurdy was swarmed with congratulatory hugs by her teammates after the presentation at center court.
