Hallie Heald '10

Hallie Heald is freelance illustrator and author in New York City. After graduating with a degree in studio art from Westmont College, Heald created visual displays and worked as an assistant stylist for photoshoots. She transitioned to fulltime portrait painting and illustration in 2017, illustrating her first book, The Women Who Made New York, with author Julie Scelfo. She was commissioned for two portraits of Tony Bennett for his production company and painted a series of shoes for Zappos classic sneaker collection. She most recently wrote and illustrated a book about introverts, 41 Reasons I’m Staying In, published by William Morrow.
