GPS Swimming Pool and other swimming activities
- Swimming is a fun and big part of summer camp, and also a big responsibility!
- In order for campers to swim without a life jacket, swim in the deep end, or jump off the diving board, each camper will take a swim test on Monday at the start of camp. The test is created by the Red Cross, and our Lifeguards are trained in these protocols.
- Campers are not required to take the test if they do not want to, and therefore must wear a puddle jumper or Red Cross certified life jacket and will not be allowed in the deep end.
- Our pool can have up to 75 campers at a time, and we have at least 3 lifeguards on deck and counselors in and around the pool at all times.
- For camps that take field trips to other swimming pools and swim opportunities, we will follow their guidelines and their swim tests.
