Supporting GPS

Parent Engagement

Generosity Comes in Many Forms

At GPS, we value gifts of time, talent, treasure, and testimony. If you are interested in becoming involved in the GPS community, we have a variety of volunteer opportunities including:

List of 6 items.

  • + Admission Ambassador

Parent Ambassadors provide a unique perspective on the GPS experience for our prospective families. The Admission Office relies on our current parents and students to help attract new mission-appropriate girls and their families to our school. Through a variety of ways families can be involved during the school day helping with Open Houses or camps events, in the evenings by hosting a Neighborhood Night, or even digitally through our PeerPal network. To get involved, contact Alice Smith Harris ’03, Director of Enrollment and Financial Aid at Admission@GPS.edu.
  • + Bruiser Bash Committee Volunteer

Bruiser Bash is our signature event and serves as the culmination of the GPS Online Auction. With a live auction, music, food, drinks, and more, it’s a can’t miss! If you’re interested in volunteering for the planning committee, contact Coughlin Haverty Cooper ’88, Director of Parent Engagement and Special Events at CCooper@GPS.edu.
  • + Bruiser Club

Bruiser Club offers two separate ways to support GPS Athletics. Sponsors will have the opportunity to advertise with signage, as they have in the past; members can participate in additional social opportunities and have input in helping design and create the best facilities for our girls. We welcome parents and grandparents who want to be involved with a goal to have a representative from each of our varsity sports.
  • + Development Volunteer

  • + Online Auction Committee Volunteer

Each year, GPS hosts an online auction to raise money for the annual Impact Fund, and parent volunteers are a huge part of its continued success! To get involved, contact Coughlin Haverty Cooper ’88, Director of Parent Engagement and Special Events at CCooper@GPS.edu.
  • + Parent Council Member

The purpose of the Parent Council is to create a sense of community for all parents in order to support the girls and the adults who lead them at GPS. Throughout the year, Parent Council hosts and organizes many special events and opportunities for parents, students, and faculty and staff.
