Calling all kids who love to SING! This camp combines professional, research-based vocal technique and musical training with fun songs and activities that feel like games! Kids will learn basic singing techniques, including belly breathing, sustaining breath, and tone support, and will receive ear training by matching pitch, identifying and performing high/low and up/down tones, and using body solfege. They'll also learn rhythm through steady beat, chanting, active rhythm song-games, and simple percussion and will begin learning to identify notes, rests, and meter. And, most fun of all, they'll learn how to master a new song through story, words, melody, and actions! On the last day, we will perform for each other and also video-record the songs we’ve learned and some of the rhythm-based activities we’ve done. Distributed electronically to parents, the video allows you to watch with your children after camp, reinforcing all that the kids learned and enjoyed during Little Singers Camp!

I can't say enough about GPS Summer Camp! I grew up spending much of my summers at GPS, and it thrills me that our oldest daughter gets to experience the same warmth from the counselors and staff with even more fun and enriching activities. GPS Summer Camp has the best variety of camp offerings in the area. That coupled with the flexibility of half or full days and before and after care make it an easy choice for our family. Most importantly, our daughter goes to camp happy and comes home thrilled to tell us all of the fun things she has done and learned at camp. She can't wait to go back the next day! Our youngest daughter will be joining her this summer, and we are so excited to have them there together.
