Bruce Stubblefield

Bruce Stubblefield previously served as the High School Social Studies Content Lead (9-12) for Hamilton County Schools, where he provided districtwide curriculum leadership and instructional support for educators across 40+ schools. In the classroom, Bruce has enriched students' understanding of history, economics, and civic engagement in a variety of courses. Bruce is the President-Elect (2025-26) of the Tennessee Council for Social Studies and serves on the Board of Delegates for the National Council for Social Studies. He spearheaded the districtwide implementation of the Inquiry Design Model and received the Financial Literacy Leadership Award from the Tennessee Financial Literacy Commission in 2024. Bruce has contributed to educational publications such as Middle Level Learning and has coauthored position statements for the National Council for Social Studies. Bruce and his wife, Rebecca (an educator at Brainerd Baptist School), have three young sons. His interests include reading (history, sci-fi, and classic/modern literature), hiking/camping, video games, soccer, college football, and yard work.
