The GPS literary magazine, Calliope, went live on May 17 and features the work of Middle and Upper School artists and writers.
The GPS Creative Writing club released the second annual literary and art magazine, Calliope, a compendium of student creativity. With junior Meg Marshall at the helm, the digital publication showcases 11 artists and 16 writers, two of whom are middle school students.

The art within the pages includes paintings, sculpture, photography, and graphic design. “The editors sifted through an impressive number of submissions, discussing the merits of the work, and eventually setting up times to meet with authors for editorial adjustments,” said faculty advisor Corrie White.

“This has been an exciting and time-consuming process at the busiest time of year, but we are growing as a magazine staff and have many ideas for next year, including fundraising goals for a print issue. We hope everyone enjoys reading the words and viewing the art of their talented peers and classmates!” she added.

The design editor for the Calliope was CeCe Turner. Members of the editorial staff were Nikki Goldbach, Annsleigh Jones, Kate Schlegel, Olivia Fannon, Lori Baxter, and Clare Hamn.
