April Ross started at GPS in August of 2019 as our middle school STEM teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Master of Engineering from Tennessee State University. She also has a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She made the transition from industry to education in 2017. She brings a wealth of real-world experience and a contagious enthusiasm for all things STEM. April believes in a hands-on approach to learning, where theory meets practice and imagination knows no bounds. Whether it's building robots that dance to the rhythm of algorithms or designing bridges, her classroom is a laboratory of innovation. Through project-based learning, collaborative problem-solving, and immersive experiences, she empowers her students to think critically, communicate effectively, and innovate fearlessly.
