She’ll Have a Groovy Good Time at Summer Camp

Each day at GPS Summer Camp is unique, designed for your daughter to learn, play, laugh, and meet new friends. From yoga to baking, musical theater to basketball, GPS Summer Camp will help your girl discover more about who she is and who she wants to be. Whether she spends a week or two or the entire summer with us, we are ready to provide her an off-the-hook experience.

The Lowdown

From the moment your camper arrives on campus (to the sounds of rad tunes and cheers from her counselors, of course!), she will know she’s in the right place—a welcoming environment full of adventure and funky F-U-N! While she’s playing getting-to-know-you games with her campmates, you can rest assured that her time spent learning new things, touring the town, boogying, and swimming (to name a few!) will leave her joyful … and probably a little tired! Fueled by slammin’ snacks and lunches, our campers enjoy a busy day before heading home sound as a pound, ready for another day of fun.

Sisterhood to the Max

Of course fun is on the docket at GPS Summer Camp, but what sets us apart are the relationships formed between campers and counselors. Our counselors, many of whom attended GPS Summer Camp as kids themselves, are invested in your daughter’s development during her time on campus. As current GPS students and alumnae, they appreciate the value of girl-to-girl connections and work to provide big-sister moments all summer long. So many of our counselors return year after year and see their campers grow up!

The Skinny on Scheduling

We know schedules can be challenging to navigate at times, so we’ll do you a solid. To make it simple to plan your daughter’s camp adventures, we offer both half-day and full-day camps, as well as before- and aftercare options, to give you flexibility as you plan your summer.

Meet Our Director

Sarah Whitney Anderson '12

Summertime—a chance where girls can try new activities, meet new friends, and learn something new about themselves. I absolutely love running GPS Summer Camp and getting to know each camper! Our staff has so much fun being creative and trying new activities, whether outdoors or in the classroom.

At GPS, we take pride in our camps, traditions, and staffing, and we have experienced tremendous growth over the past 50 years! What started with horseback riding, typing, and basketball has now grown to more than 42 different camp offerings. And while the options look a little different than in 1974, our commitment to girls is the same: may they grow in confidence in themselves, kindness toward others, and curiosity about the world around them!

It is an absolute gift to work at GPS Summer Camp and see your camper each day. I am so grateful to my staff, GPS camp counselors, and an institution dedicated to growing young women. I hope you are as stoked for summer as I am!

Peace and love,
Sarah Whitney Anderson ’12
