Chris Zeller began his teaching career in Florida before joining GPS in 1999. He holds a BS in mathematics with a specialization in secondary education from the University of West Florida, and a master's in educational leadership from Covenant College, which paved the way for his seven-year tenure as Department Chair. Chris has successfully leveraged his extensive experience from math labs at two universities to teach a wide array of courses. His recent focus has been on upper-level and AP courses, as well as post-AP explorations including multivariable calculus and differential equations. Regardless of the class, his goal is to help ensure his students receive high-quality education tailored to their needs at GPS and beyond. Throughout his time at GPS, he has fostered a diverse and dynamic learner-centered environment with countless students later pursuing careers in STEM. In addition to teaching, Chris, a former college soccer player, coached soccer at both GPS and McCallie during his first 12 years in Chattanooga and now works in the club community. A proud father of five, Chris speaks passionately about the benefits of single-sex education, with his children either attending or having graduated from GPS or our brother school, McCallie. His firsthand experience as a parent enhances his dedication to the educational and personal growth of his students.
