GPS Announces Commended Students
Three seniors are named in National Merit Scholarship Program
Girls Preparatory School recognizes Caroline Barnes, Ash Day, and Arysa Kayasit as Commended Students in the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program.
“We are so proud of these three outstanding seniors, not only for their achievement in the National Merit Scholarship Program but also for their leadership and character,” says Head of School Megan Cover. “These students have represented the senior class well through not only their dedication to their studies but also their accomplishments outside of the classroom. We are excited to see what they accomplish next.”
Approximately 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Commended Students placed among the top 50,000 scorers of more than 1.6 million students who entered the 2024 competition by taking the 2023 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
